 Reverend Janet A. Russell |
Reverend Janet Russell is our pastor. She has 18 years experience pastoring in Presbyterian churches and is delighted to be serving the Lord in Columbia. She won the preaching prize in seminary, and has additional training in spiritual direction and music. Prior to ordination, Janet was a research chemist. She is married and has two grown children. Besides the Church of the 49ers, Janet also enjoys hiking, singing, dogs, growing vegetables, kickboxing and reading. |

Pat Edell is our office administrator. She has served in the church office since 2010, and is responsible for bookkeeping, payroll and financial tracking; campus rentals, scheduling and general administrative work. She can answer your questions to just about anything on Tuesday through Thursday, between 9:30 to 4:30. Pat is married to Russ and has a son who lives in Sacramento. She thrives on bringing about successful conclusions and on working in an environment of positive energy. |

Mike Walls is our part-time maintenance supervisor, who has kept the church clean and functioning since 2003. He supervises volunteers and community service workers, maintains the grounds and the physical plant, and works with the Building and Grounds committee. He is married and has two children. In his spare time, Mike enjoys camping, dogs, driving his jeep and helping the homeless. |

Carolyn Sylva is our worship accompanist. She is a local piano and violin teacher, and has taught in the Sonora area for more than 20 years. She has extensive experience in accompanying church worship, and also is the founder and leader of The Fiddle Gang. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys dancing and participating in local events, gardening and doing art projects. |
