This book is written in a more readily accessible manner that is easier to understand than most research papers and it is a lot more fun to read. The author, Rebecca Fett, has a degree in molecular biology, which makes her a a biology geek and b able to collate and understand scientific research beyond most of our wildest dreams or nightmares, depending on your view of reading scientific papers.


I'm definitely interested in reading the next book in this series, especially since the ending introduced a character who likely could play a very interesting role in coming books. As the rival egg rancher, and brilliant as usual, others are deeply disturbed by its blatant racism against Native Americans as well as its classism and snobbery toward those the author describes as Neighbors with a purposeful capital.
